YOUTH PREVIEW | Chester vs Wrexham
The FA Youth Cup returns to the Swansway Chester Stadium tonight – and they don’t come much bigger than the Cross-Border Derby!
Calum McIntyre’s side are just two wins away from the First Round proper – which would be a superb achievement for a side that had to begin in the Preliminary Round stage.
Chester come into this tie as underdogs. Wrexham’s Academy setup is Football League level and is their first taste of the FA Youth Cup this season. The Blues have beaten Sandbach and Marine – both away – 5-1 and 6-0 respectively to get to this stage.
Since the Blues reformed it is the first time the two teams have met at Youth level – and promises to be an exciting encounter between the two sides.
Kick off tonight is 7.30pm. Admission prices are £5 for adults and £2 for concessions and children. We will also have donations buckets in the home end – with every penny funding the Blues’ Youth Development Programme.
Chester fans will enter the ground through the turnstiles in the Red Insure (EAST) Stand.
Wrexham fans will enter the ground through the turnstile in the Swettenham Chemists Community (WEST) Stand.
See you at the Swansway tonight!
