YOUTH PREVIEW | Hartlepool United vs Chester FC

The Chester FC Youth Team are back in action tonight with a trip to Hartlepool United the task.

Calum McIntyre’s side have continued to weave out FA Youth Cup memorable moments season after season, and the Second Qualifying Round was no different this term.

A Youth Cross-Border Derby saw the Blues win 3-2 against rivals Wrexham – with Danny Edwards and a Tom Ruffer brace sealing the win on a memorable night at the Swansway Chester Stadium.

After victories against Sandbach and Marine prior, it’s been a long winding road to the First Round Proper. Tonight it could be just 90 minutes away – which would be a fantastic achievement from the Youth side.

    What the Manager said

It’s a huge test for us. For us to go a long way from home and play the only side in the competition that compete in the Football League Youth Alliance in the final qualifying round is a huge challenge but we have always stepped up to the plate. We know what’s required this evening, we will relish the challenge and put out the type of performance that reflects what we’re about.”
