CLUB STATEMENT | Season Ticket update for 2020/21

Chester FC can update supporters on plans for season ticket sales for the upcoming 2020/21 campaign.

As previously indicated, we will be introducing an online ticketing platform which will enable the club to be Covid-19 compliant and allow supporters to purchase season tickets and matchday tickets online.

Given the expected crowd restrictions, the club is currently only able to give an update on season ticket renewals and, unfortunately, we will be unable to offer new sales of season tickets, although the situation will be under constant review.

We will be encouraging all season ticket holders to renew online to keep face-to-face contact to a minimum for the safety of our office volunteers and supporters. However, we appreciate not everyone will be able to renew online, so ask season ticket holders who wish to renew in person to contact the club on 01244 371376 to make arrangements. Please note you will be required to wear a face covering if visiting the club in line with Government guidance and the ticket office otherwise remains closed until further notice.

Season Ticket Pricing 2020/21

Due to the ongoing challenges of Covid-19, significant cost increases related to the pandemic and to enable us to remain competitive in the National League North, the Board has agreed a small increase in season ticket and matchday ticket prices. To ensure the club continues to engage younger supporters, we will be offering a limited number of free season tickets for under 12’s that will enable every youngster who had a season ticket last year to renew for 2020/21.

• Season Ticket Holders will ONLY be placed in the Harry Mac, East and West Stands (and NOT the South Stand)
  There are NO season tickets available for the South Stand
  The South Stand is potentially reserved for Matchday Tickets (ie non ST holders)
  ALL Season Tickets and Matchday Tickets (when issued) are strictly non-transferable

Season Ticket Renewals

Existing season ticket holders will be invited to renew online during a short renewal window (dates to be confirmed).

Please note that when renewing you will be securing a ‘place’ in your chosen stand, however the impact of social distancing and Covid-19 guidance means we will be unable to accommodate fans in the same seats as 2019/20 in the majority of cases.

We will endeavour to seat you as close to your existing seat as possible, but we are unable to guarantee the same seat, row or block due to the challenges faced. Your actual seat for 2020/21 will be allocated once the renewal window has closed.

If you wish to sit with family members or friends, you will be asked to confirm this at the time of renewing in order for us to allocate seats as best as possible. The use of family or social bubbles could enable the club to increase the number of matchday tickets available.

Once the renewal window has closed, the club will review the number of tickets sold and will then be able to confirm how many season tickets will be available for general sale during a short sales window.

Once both the renewal and sales window have closed, the club will be able to assess how many matchday tickets can be made available for non-season ticket holders.

Please note that matchday tickets will only be available to purchase online and the numbers will be restricted based on the current Covid-19 guidance received from the Government, FA and National League.

Season Ticket Renewal Instalment Plans

Follow the success of last year’s instalment plan, the club will again be offering this option to fans for the 2020/21 season. Although we are unable to offer a renewal date at present, we are inviting supporters who wish to pay in instalments to contact us now so that we can begin this process, which we anticipate will involve an initial payment at the end of August and a maximum of four monthly payments. Car Park Season Passes

In line with Covid-19 guidance, the club will be taking steps to reduce the amount of cash being handled on matchdays. Therefore when renewing your season tickets online, you will be invited to purchase a Car Park Season Pass if you require parking at the stadium.

Legends Lounge Membership & Season Tickets 2020/21

As you will appreciate, the present situation presents particular challenges in this area, however we are committed to allowing existing Legends Lounge members to renew their season tickets for 2020/21. Unfortunately there will be no new memberships available this season.

The club will be contacting Legends Lounge members shortly regarding the likely changes to matchday arrangements, however we encourage you to renew in line with the above.
