NEWS | Loan Watch: Emirates FA Cup Preliminary Round
Chester FC’s exciting prospects have been out getting vital minutes on loan during 2021/22.
Here’s how they got on as the Emirates FA Cup got underway…
Zack Clarke: Leek Town
Striker Zack Clarke is currently on a 28-day loan spell with Northern Premier League (West) Division side Leek Town and played the full 90 minutes as they progressed with a 2-0 victory against Gresley.
Harrison Burke: Clitheroe
Academy Graduate Harrison’s debut for Clitheroe also saw them victorious, a 2-1 win yesterday afternoon away at Northwich Victoria in the Preliminary Round. Clitheroe’s official website described his debut as an ‘accomplished performance’ as Burke played the full 90.
Bailey Sloane: Avro
Bailey Sloane is still part of the youth setup, but the left-footed defender featured for our first team in pre-season before securing a dual registration move to Avro FC. As luck would have it, his FA Cup debut saw him face Calum McIntyre’s Runcorn Linnets. The game finished one apiece and a replay takes place tomorrow night.
Sam Turner: Lower Breck
Sam’s first senior deal with the Blues was announced last night and he is out on-loan at North West Counties side Lower Breck for the entirety of the campaign. They drew 2-2 with Mossley on Saturday and also have a replay this week. Turner’s side saw a former Blue in Jamie Menagh bag a brace in the draw.
Aidan Roxburgh: Trafford
Aidan joined the Blues on dual registration last month and was another player to force a replay after playing 90 minutes for his side. Trafford left it late against Colne, an injury time strike saw the game finish 2-2.
Ethan Cartwright: Irlam
Midfielder Ethan Cartwright has joined Irlam on a dual registration basis this week and was another to get a full game under his belt as they were beaten by Skelmersdale United on Saturday.
