FA Cup Preview: Tadcaster Albion (a)
Chester’s Emirates FA Cup campaign begins with a Saturday lunchtime trip to Tadcaster Albion.
Calum McIntyre’s men left it late last weekend against Blyth Spartans, but were fully deserved of their three points courtesy of Elliott Whitehouse’s late spot kick.
Attentions now shift to the cup, and a 12.30pm kick off against Taddy in front of the BBC cameras in the Second Qualifying Round – three wins from the First Round Proper.
Winners of 2QR ties will take home £3,375, with the losers pot at this stage standing at £1,125.
THE OPPOSITION
Tadcaster Albion were relegated from the Northern Premier League Division One East last season, finishing bottom with just four wins from their 38 games.
Now playing at Step 5 of Non-League in the Northern Counties East Football League, Taddy sit 15th with seven points from their opening seven games.
They were 2-1 winners at home to Heaton Stannington in the last round, with their run so far as follows…

Admission is pay on the gate only, with no segregation in place. Turnstiles will open at 10.30am – as do the bar and food outlets.
