BREAKING | Murray signs extension as Dawson departs
Chester FC are pleased to announce that forward Iwan Murray has had his contract extended until the end of the season.
The Academy Graduate signed an initial six-month contract with the Blues in the summer, and now an extension has been triggered to take him through until the conclusion of the 2018-19 campaign.
The Denbigh based teenager got his opportunity in the 3-1 win over Kidderminster in September, a starter after Scott Burton pulled up in the warm up. He went on to be named Man of the Match.
Iwan followed it up with a goal against City of Liverpool four days later in a 4-0 Emirates FA Cup victory.
He has made six appearances this term, including five starts.
Congratulations, Iwan!
We can also confirm that midfielder Adam Dawson has departed the club.
Dawson joined from AFC Telford back in November and made seven appearances – including four starts for the club.
We’d like to thank Adam for his time and efforts whilst at the Swansway Chester Stadium; and wish him all the best for the future.
