BREAKING | Matty Waters pens new one-year deal at Chester FC
Chester FC are pleased to announce that left back Matty Waters has put pen to paper – and signed a one-year contract extension at the club.
The 21-year-old is one of our own, having signed his first senior deal in 2016 at the Swansway Chester Stadium.
Waters ended this season strongly, tying down his spot as the first choice left back and put in a string of impressive displays since the turn of the year.
Matty made 20 appearances in the National League North this term under Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley.
He actually ended the season at Alfreton making his 50th Chester FC appearance – and more are to come as Waters commits to the Blues for 2019-20.
Blues Joint Boss Anthony Johnson told chesterfc.com…
“Matthew has really impressed us in the last few months of the season.
“He’s improved in every facet of his game and his willingness to want to get better all the time is one of the main reasons we look forward to working with him next season.
Congratulations, Matty!
