Ben Tollitt joins Chester FC on loan!

Chester FC are delighted to announce the loan signing of Ben Tollitt from Oldham Athletic!

The 29-year-old forward has arrived at the Leap76 Stadium from the Latics until the end of the 2023/24 campaign.

Tollitt joined Oldham in 2022 after spending the previous two seasons at AFC Fylde, scoring 17 goals from wide areas.

The Liverpool-based attacker won promotion from the National League with Tranmere Rovers back in 2018 before moving on to Blackpool the following year.

Ben is vastly experienced, having also played for Portsmouth, and has already had a spell out on loan this season at Kidderminster Harriers.

Manager Calum McIntyre said: “I’m really pleased we have been able to secure a player of Ben’s quality and pedigree at such an important stage of the season for us.

“We have spoken in recent weeks about improving the group as the opportunity arises and ensuring that we add players of the right ability, age and experience and in adding Ben to the group we have certainly done that.

“Ben will give us a real attacking threat being able to play in a number of forward/attacking midfield positions with proven quality at a higher level. It is exactly the kind of signing we want to make as we approach the business end of the season.

“His enthusiasm for the opportunity was obvious and I am really looking forward to working with Ben between now and the end of the season.”

Tollitt will wear the number 18 for the Blues and is in contention for this weekend’s game against Scarborough Athletic.

    Welcome to Chester FC, Ben!
