BREAKING | Charlie Caton joins the Blues on loan!

Chester FC are pleased to announce the loan signing of Shrewsbury Town forward Charlie Caton!

The Welshman, who turns 20 next week, has signed initially for 28-days at the Deva Stadium.

Charlie signed a two-year professional deal at Montgomery Waters Meadow in the summer of 2021 after joining the club at the age of 16.

He has made seven EFL League One appearances for the club, including one this season so far against Ipswich Town in August, and also featured at Anfield against Liverpool for the Shrews in the FA Cup Third Round back in January.

Manager Calum McIntyre said: “We are on a really good run but the time to improve is when we are looking strong.

“Charlie is a player we have identified that will give us another option to our impressive forward line. He is ready for a challenge in a new environment and I’m really pleased we have got this done.

“I am really looking forward to working with him.”
