BREAKING | Chester FC make Grand swoop for Simon

Chester Football Club are pleased to announce the signing of experienced defender Simon Grand.

The 34-year-old spent last season at AFC Fylde, and was on the scoresheet in their Play-Off Quarter Final defeat to Boreham Wood in May.

He had arrived at the Coasters in the summer of 2017 from Salford City – as this move sees him link up with Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley once more.

Grand has also had spells at Barrow, AFC Telford and Southport in recent years, and has an excellent goal record for a defensive player.

The centre back has a wealth of experience, also playing for the likes of Rochdale, Carlisle, Grimsby, Northwich Victoria and Fleetwood.
