BREAKING | Chester FC sign James Hardy!

Chester Football Club are thrilled to announce the signing of James Hardy.

The 25-year-old creative player has put pen to paper on a one-year deal at the Deva Stadium after finishing the 2020/21 campaign at National League side Altrincham.

Hardy can operate in the ‘number 10’ role or in wide positions and is another extremely exciting new addition to the Blues squad ahead of the upcoming season.

From Stockport, James already has won the National League North title with AFC Fylde back in 2017. The EFL came calling for Hardy in 2019 when he departed the Coasters for Walsall – and he also has five England C caps on an impressive resume.

He started last season at AFC Telford United before being snapped up by the Robins when our campaign was declared null and void.

The Blues bosses were delighted to get their man, and Jonno had this to say on the signing…

“This is a fantastic coup for the club. James has been one of, if not the most technical player over the last few years in non-league.

“He’s exciting, creative and will fit perfectly into what we want to be going forward. The fans will love him and we can’t wait to see him in training with the rest of the lads.”

We will have a first interview with new signing James Hardy on chesterfc.com in due course. Stay tuned!
