BREAKING | Elliott Whitehouse joins the Blues on permanent basis!
Chester FC are delighted to announce the permanent signing of midfielder Elliott Whitehouse!
The 29-year-old was a key figure for the Blues during the run-in whilst on loan, and has now penned a one-year deal at the Deva following his departure from Scunthorpe United.
Whitehouse joined in March and was quick to make an impression with the club both on and off the field.
He notched his first goal for the Blues in the 2-1 away win at Darlington, before repeating the feat with another strike in our following match on the road – success at Southport by the same scoreline.
Elliott’s third goal in his seven appearances for the club last term came in the 4-0 victory at home to Buxton.
Manager Calum McIntyre said: “Elliott is another really important acquisition for us and I am delighted that a player of his quality, experience and personality is on board for the season ahead.
“Elliott was really influential during his loan spell here and his desire to come and be a part of things permanently was really clear in all of our discussions.
“He is popular with the current group and is someone I feel can contribute a huge amount to try and take us where we want to be, I’m pleased to be working with him again.
“Our supporters know what to expect with Elliott and I feel this is a really significant signing for us ahead of an exciting season.”
You really do glove to see it. Welcome back, Elliott!
