BREAKING | Josh Askew joins Alfreton Town

    Chester FC can confirm that defender Josh Askew has joined Alfreton Town on a permanent basis.

    The 23-year-old full back returned to the Blues in August 2021 on an initial short-term deal before having his contract extended until the end of the season the following month.

    In his second spell at the Deva Stadium Askew has made 24 appearances and scored one goal, a dramatic late equaliser against Darlington in November.

    He joins Billy Heath’s side who sit 12th place in the National League North table, two points above the Blues.
