CFCW REPORT: Chester 2-0 Litherland Remyca

The Blues recorded a fourth successive league win yesterday afternoon with a comfortable victory over Litherland.

Chester started the game brightly, with the Litherland keeper making a superb stop to tip Ash Bullock’s long range strike over, before Sarah Redman missed the target moments later.

Charlotte Locke opened the scoring on 17 minutes, her free kick finding the back of the net via the post.

Martin Fitzsimons’ side then had a second chalked off due to handball just a couple of minutes later, Lucy Adderley denied the goal.

But they did double the lead just before the break, as Rach Lloyd showed great trickery and composure to beat a defender and fire home from inside the six yard box.

The Blues had some half chances in the second 45 as they couldn’t add to the score, but were also solid at the back in keeping a clean sheet and staying in touch with those around them in the table.

Two more league games have been confirmed for upcoming Sunday’s. Chester visit FC St Helens this coming Sunday for a 2pm kick off – before hosting Northwich Vixens at the Leap76 Stadium on Sunday 19th November.
