Christian Norton joins Chester FC!
Chester FC are delighted to announce the signing of forward Christian Norton!
The 22-year-old highly rated attacker has penned a permanent deal at the Leap76 Stadium until the end of the 2023/24 campaign, subject to FA and National League approval.
London-born Christian started at Southampton before moving to Stoke City and progressing to make six Championship appearances for the Potters during the 2020/21 campaign.
He would then have a loan spell at Cheltenham Town the following season, before making his move permanent in the summer of 2022.
Norton made 23 League One appearances for the Robins last term. He has also been capped for Wales 11 times at U19 level, scoring on three occasions, as well as once for the U21 side.
Manager Calum McIntyre said: “Christian strengthens our forward options at a really important stage of the season for us.
“We recognised the need to add options in this department and we have done so in recent weeks.
“Christian is an athletic forward player who will add a different dimension to our attack. He has an impressive goal scoring return in Under-18 and Reserve Team football and has made nearly 40 appearances in the Championship and League One.
“Christian comes to us hungry to add goals next to his name at a vital stage of the season.
“I am really looking forward to working with him and know his contribution could be huge for us over the next few months.”
Welcome to CH1, Christian!
