COMMUNITY TRUST | Round-Up: Remembrance 2018 & National League Trust U11s Cup

The latest news from Chester FC Community Trust…

    We Will Remember Them

It was an honour to welcome the Mercian Regiment, The Queen’s Own Yeomanry and members of the Chester Armed Forces & Veterans Breakfast Club to Chester FC for two recent home fixtures.

At the Remembrance Weekend match with Altrincham, the club and supporters paid tribute to those men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice with the laying of wreaths and a two minute’s silence.

We hope to continue strengthening the relationship between the club, Armed Forces and veterans in the coming months.

    Goalkeeping Coaching Restarts

Chester FC Goalkeeping Academy sessions have restarted at the new venue of Ellesmere Port Sports Village. These sessions provided specialist coaching for boys and girls aged 7-16 who prefer playing between the sticks.

The sessions will run on Wednesdays from 6pm-7pm on the 3G pitch and cost £3 per week. For more details or to book, email community@chesterfc.com.

National League Trust Under 11s Cup

Lache Primary School girls and Malpas Alport Primary School boys will represent Chester FC in the next stage of this season’s National League Trust Under 11s Cup.

The national competition gives primary schools the chance to play at Wembley Stadium and as ever the standard of play and sportsmanship in this year’s tournament was exceptional.

The winning schools now qualify for the regional finals which are due to be played in early March.
