Jake Burton joins Marine on loan

 Jake Burton has joined Marine AFC on a three-month loan deal.

The 21-year-old forward has made two appearances for the Blues this term, at Bishop’s Stortford and Banbury United, after signing for the club following a trial spell in pre-season.

Burton returns to the MTA after having a loan spell with Neil Young’s side from Tranmere Rovers at the beginning of last season.

Calum had this to say: “Jake has had a really stop start pre-season programme having joined us very late in the pre-season period.

“We haven’t been able to get the minutes into him that we would like and feel that for Jake to have an impact on our team longer term, we need to get him playing games in the short term.

“He has a real enthusiasm and a desire to have a part to play this season and I feel this is a really good opportunity for him to get some competitive minutes.”
