MATCH PREVIEW | Alfreton Town vs Chester

Tomorrow is the end of the National League North season for Chester FC, it’s been a campaign packed with ups, downs, plenty of excitment and lots to build on!

The Blues can seal a 9th placed finish tomorrow if they can better Kidderminster Harriers’ result. Bern and Jonno’s side sit four points off the play offs going into the last game.

Alfreton, likewise, have nothing but pride to play for. They sit in 15th position, 11 points behind Chester going into tomorrow.

The reverse fixture back in October was packed with goals, talking points and late drama. The Blues excellent Swansway form picked up another win, courtesy of an incredible Gary Roberts hat-trick.

His first was a penalty, his second was a goal of the season contender and his stoppage time third was a rebound after he’d missed the initial penalty. That goal was after Alfreton had led at the break despite having James Clifton sent off. Steve Howson was sent off for the Blues when the scores were level.

Could we see another cracker between these two sides to end the season? Kick off is 3pm tomorrow.
