MATCH PREVIEW | Altrincham vs Chester | Emirates FA Cup Replay
After a lengthy and physical draw at the Deva Stadium on Saturday, Chester and Altrincham will do battle once again tonight.
The 1-1 draw down CH1 in the Second Qualifying Round has brought about a replay tonight at Moss Lane. Matty Hughes’ early goal got the Blues off to a super start, but injuries and half time changes harmed momentum and brought an equaliser for Alty scored by Josh Hancock. Russ Griffiths, Danny Livesey and Scott Burton all took nasty knocks – as well as left back Joel Taylor being forced off at the break due to injury.
Altrincham’s scorer Hancock was also forced off with injury, and may miss tonight’s game. The winner of this tie tonight will face an away trip to Halesowen Town on Saturday 5th October in the Third Qualifying Round.
