MATCH PREVIEW | Chester vs Chorley

A busy and critical Easter weekend of football beckons, with first up the Blues hosting Chorley at the Deva Stadium.

Back-to-back victories in the North East have seen the Blues hit 73 points from 41 games and solidify their position in third place in the table.

Midfielder Elliott Whitehouse scored the crucial second goal at Darlington last weekend, and picked up Player of the Match in just his second appearance for the club. The Scunthorpe loanee is in line to make his home debut this Good Friday.

Chorley have lost back-to-back games in recent weeks which has seen them drop out of the play-off places and down to 9th. They were unfortunate to lose to King’s Lynn last Saturday, as a late Billy Whitehouse free kick appeared to cross the line – but was not given – which then saw the visitors snatch an 89th minute winner moments later.

Kick off on Friday afternoon is 3pm.

    LIVE STREAM

Our game against Chorley will be streaming LIVE on the National League’s official streaming service after it was selected as a test event!

With this fixture taking place on Good Friday, the stream is available to both domestic and international viewers with match passes costing £9.50 now available.

Blues’ vice chairman Jim Green said: “We’re pleased to be taking part in this test event and learning more about the National League TV platform.

“Streaming is a major discussion topic within the game currently and its important clubs like us have the opportunity to help shape its future to ensure clubs, leagues and the football pyramid are protected.

“Of course, we always want as many of our fans as possible in the ground, but for those who can’t make it to the Deva, whether that’s because they are exiles, based overseas or have other commitments, streaming gives them the chance to watch their team and provides us with additional revenue opportunities.”
