MATCH PREVIEW | Chester vs King’s Lynn Town

Chester welcome the league leaders King’s Lynn Town to the Deva this weekend, looking to build on Monday’s win.

Our Bank Holiday victory away at Curzon Ashton was much needed tonic after three defeats prior, and a 2-1 scoreline could have quite easily been a greater margin of victory for the Seals, who dominated proceedings.

One negative from the game was that hugely influential midfielder Declan Weeks missed out due to injury, and is set to be unavailable once again this weekend. Add on the fact that Adam Thomas and Joe Lynch both begin three-game suspensions for their respective red cards at home to Fylde, selection could be limited once again for Manager Calum McIntyre.

The visiting Linnets were relegated from the National League last term, but have bounced back in style with 16 points from a possible 18 to start the new campaign. Their win on Monday at Peterborough Sports was secured by a simply stunning Josh Barrett strike in injury time.

Kick off on Saturday afternoon is 3pm.
