MATCH PREVIEW | Chester vs Morecambe

Just two games to go in pre-season for the Blues, as Morecambe are the next side to visit the Swansway Chester Stadium tonight.

There’s still very much work to be done for Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley following Saturday’s 1-0 loss to Bury – who will be on the hunt for a striker ahead of the big kick off on the 4th August.

However, they will be seriously encouraged by the defensive display of their side on Saturday against Bury, who looked very solid against a strong League Two side. New signing Simon Grand made his debut and had a positive impact – and was unfortunate to see a goal disallowed for offside.

Another League Two side visit CH1 tonight in Morecambe. The League Two side survived relegation on the final day of last season with an away draw at Coventry – and will be looking to build on that this campaign. Former Blue Kevin Ellison is expected to make this return tonight for the Shrimps. He had two spells with the club, during the 2004-2005 season and then from 2007 until 2009.

Kick off tonight is 7.45pm at the Swansway Chester Stadium.

The Harry McNally (North) Terrace and the Red Insure (East) Stands will be open for supporters. Ticket prices are as follows:

    Adults £8 Concessions and 18-21 years £5 5-17 years £2 Under 5 FREE.
