MATCH PREVIEW | Darlington vs Chester | National League North

After another promising run of three wins on the spin in all competitions – and an unbeaten November – Chester will be looking to keep building momentum as the hectic festive period gets underway.

A December trip to the North East tomorrow, the Blues face a Darlington side very different to the one they defeated at Blackwell Meadows at the end of March in this fixture last term. Tommy Wright departed the club, and former Blyth Spartans Manager Alun Armstrong took over and has since guided Darlo to an FA Cup First Round tie with EFL side Walsall, where they were narrowly beaten in a replay.

In the league however, they will be eager to arrest a slump of three defeats on the spin, but they face a Chester side with just one loss away from home this season – in controversial circumstances at Spennymoor back in August.

Midfielder Gary Roberts returns from suspension to add yet another option to the potential Blues 16-man squad tomorrow.
