NEWS | Big Yellow team up with Chester FC following stadium damage
Big Yellow Self Storage have teamed up with Chester FC to assist the club with helping them to recover from the recent water damage experienced at the Swansway Chester Stadium.
Based on Sealand Road, next to B&Q, the leading self-storage provider in Chester have provided the club with free storage to help with the clean-up efforts.
Big Yellow have supported the club in a number of different ways since the club reformed in 2010, and this latest move shows the commitment they have towards the local community, and helping to ensure that Chester FC can get back to hosting home matches, something the club have been desperate to do since the first of four postponements back on the 14th August.
Geoff Hammond, store manager at Big Yellow Chester, said, “We have a great link with Chester FC already and the Chester FC Community Trust, who have gone from strength to strength in recent times. When the water damage was experienced by the club we were only too happy to help out, and will continue to support the club on and off the pitch.”
David Harrington-Wright, chairman of City Fans United, thanked Big Yellow for their help, “We have fantastic links with Big Yellow already and they have helped us at a time when we needed it most and on behalf of everyone at the club, thank them for the free space that they have provided us with, which will help with all of the work that has been taking place around the club in the last few weeks!”
