Goalkeeper Harry Tyrer has joined the Blues on a season long loan from Premier League side Everton. Crosby-born Tyrer has been with the Toffees since the age of seven.
An athletic, commanding goalkeeper, he established himself in Everton’s Under-18 side in 2018/19 before breaking into the Under-23s the following season. Harry penned his first professional contract at Goodison Park in January 2020 and kept a clean sheet for the first-team in a pre-season victory over Preston North End the following summer.
He was included in the travelling party for Everton’s pre-season trip to the USA in summer 2021 and continued to impress for Under-23s last term, starting 18 of 26 Premier League 2 matches, while also training with the first-team and being named in 10 senior squads. Harry signed a new three-and-a-half-year contract with Everton in January 2022.
