Preview: Bala Town (a)

Our penultimate game of pre-season takes the Blues to Maes Tegid to face Welsh Premier side Bala Town.

Chester’s weekend double header saw a comprehensive win at Ashton Athletic on Friday night for a mix of first teamers, youngsters and trialists – before the remaining first team players drew 1-1 against tough opposition in Wythenshawe Town the next day.

It’s now less than two weeks to go until the big kick off at Bishop’s Stortford, and Calum McIntyre will be starting to plan for his first starting XI of the new campaign.

This fixture against Bala is a testimonial for their new Club Captain, Kieran Smith.

Kieran’s hometown club is Chester and we are pleased to be taking part in this fixture. We encourage as many supporters as possible to attend – Smith has made more than 250 appearances for the Lakesiders and is their record appearance holder.
