Preview: Boston United (a)
Boston United present the next test for the Blues, who made it back-to-back wins last Saturday for the first time this season.
It was an excellent fightback in front of the BBC Sport cameras, coming from a goal down to beat Tadcaster Albion 3-1. Second half strikes from Iwan Murray, Harrison Burke and Charlie Caton saw the Seals advance to the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Cup.
Our last National League North encounter saw Calum McIntyre’s side beat Blyth Spartans 2-1. Caton was on the scoresheet again, before an Elliott Whitehouse pen in the 90th minute secured all three points.
THE OPPOSITION
Boston have made a decent start to the new season, looking to build on last season’s 15th place finish in the table. They won, also against Blyth Spartans, in their last home league outing thanks to three goals in stoppage time.
However, their progress climbing the table was stalled somewhat by a heavy loss at Alfreton Town last time out in NLN. They also advanced in the FA Cup last Saturday, beating Leamington 4-0.
