We’re four games down in pre-season, and just three remain now before the start of the new National League North campaign.

Calum McIntyre’s side fought back from two goals down to win in the scorching heat at Stalybridge Celtic on Tuesday. New signing Kurt Willoughby capped an impressive second half display with a late winner.

With just two weeks remaining until the start of the league season, a strong side is expected as preparations step up for the Blues.

For McIntyre and his backroom staff, as well as Joe Lynch and Iwan Murray, it is a return to the club they guided to the Northern Premier Division One (West) Play-Off Final last term.

A reminder, Saturday’s game has a later kick off time of 5.15pm.
