READ | James Hardy speaks after joining the Blues
Earlier today, it was announced that James Hardy had joined Chester FC.
Here’s what he had to say to chesterfc.com after joining the club…
Q: James, welcome to Chester. For supporters who aren’t familiar, tell us a bit about yourself!
A: I’m an attacking player. I can play out wide on either flank or behind the striker. I like to get on the ball and make things happen, and hopefully the fans here can enjoy that.
Q: You finished last season at Altrincham in the National League, how did you find that?
A: I’d played in that division with Fylde previous, obviously it is a good standard. It was nice to be able to carry on playing after this level got curtailed when I was with Telford. I enjoyed my time at Alty but things just didn’t work out and I’d been looking for a new club since.
Q: You were at Telford last term, a side we had two of our best performances against during 20/21! What are your memories of those games?
A: I remember them well, especially the match at our place. We got passed off the park to be fair. I know a couple of the lads here and I remember watching the football being played and thinking it would be decent to be a part of the team that day. We couldn’t get near them that day! I know the way the Managers want to try and play here and think it’ll suit me down to the ground.
Q: The new season is not far away now, what can we achieve this season?
A: We’ve all got to be aiming to go up this year. When last season got cancelled in January/February time, you were in with a great chance. So we will keep pushing for promotion this time around.
