THANK YOU | Volunteers week gets underway with Ean Jones!

This week at Chester FC we are celebrating our fantastic volunteers who make our club tick day in, day out.

On the back of yesterday’s Volunteer event at the Deva Stadium, today we mark the official beginning of Volunteers Week with the first of a series of interviews with various people who volunteer their time and effort for the love of the club they have followed for decades.

Ean Jones, has volunteered down the years at the Deva, and is often spotted selling 50/50 Draw tickets in and around the ground, and he also fulfils an important role post match too, being one of a team of people who clear away the litter around the Stadium.

50/50 Draw sales are of course a valuable source of revenue for the Club, whilst at the same time giving Blues fans the chance to win cash at every home game during the season.

We’d also like to thank 16-year-old Leah Davies, who is also volunteering by editing the videos filmed for this week’s Volunteers Week theme.

This week, we’ll also be focusing on volunteers associated with various areas of the club, including the Media Team, Hospitality, Boardroom, and last but certainly not least, the Ticket Office.

The culmination of our Volunteers Week theme centres on Saturday’s home match against Leamington, when we be saying ‘Thank You’ to all of our many volunteers. Please join in on Twitter where we have hashtags #CFCVolunteersWeek and #ThankYou.

We will also be having our ‘Roll Call’ tribute to those Chester fans that have sadly passed away in the last 12 months. Whilst we do try and keep a record of those past fans that have left us, please email FEWG@chesterfc.com so we can ensure their name is ready out at Saturday’s game.
