Theo Vassell rejoins on loan

Chester Football Club are pleased to announce that Theo Vassell has rejoined the club on a youth loan from Walsall for the rest of the season.

The defender impressed in the first half of the season in the right back position, making 17 appearances.

Vassell, who turned 20 earlier this month, also scored one goal for the Blues; away at Barrow.

Speaking to chesterfc.com on the deal, CEO Mark Maguire said: “We are delighted to have secured Theo until the end of the season.

“We have a burgeoning relationship with Walsall and are grateful to them for allowing this to happen.

“Theo’s return strengthens Jon McCarthy’s resources at a crucial time and most importantly brings back a player who fits perfectly into the team spirit that has been developed.”
