MILESTONE | Anthony Dudley: 100 games for Chester FC!
Anthony Dudley has now made a century of appearances for the Blues, reaching the milestone this afternoon against Chorley!
The classy forward player has scored 23 goals and made 30 assists in his 100 games, meaning his remarkable goal involvement record is better than one every two games.
Dudley was brought to the club in the summer of 2018, initially on a season-long loan deal, alongside defender Danny Livesey from Salford City.
He scored his first goal for the club in the second match of the 18-19 season, a volleyed finish at Curzon Ashton in a 3-0 win.
‘Duds’ immediately impressed the Chester FC faithful with a string of excellent performances across the forward line. He finished his first season with 11 goals in 38 games and scooped up the Golden Boot and Seals Live Player of the Season awards at the end of the campaign.
The former Bury man departed the Ammies that summer, and a string of EFL club showed interest in Anthony. However, he committed his future to Bern and Jonno and the Blues by signing a one-year deal for the 19/20 season.
He chipped in with a further six goals in 38 games last term – including being the match winner in our fantastic Trophy away win at Brackley Town, who had won and then been Semi-Finalists in the two years prior to meeting the Blues in that competition.
Following signing up for a further year back in August, Dudley got off the mark this campaign with a late goal at Gloucester City in October.
But this month he’s really hit his stride – scoring five goals in December – which included a Man of the Match performance at Telford on Boxing Day which featured his incredible assist.
At just 24 years old, it is a fantastic achievement, and the best could still be yet to come from Anthony Dudley.
Congratulations on reaching 100, Duds!
