FA YOUTH CUP | Chester FC vs Abbey Hey Preliminary Round Preview
Chester FC’s Academy begin yet another exciting journey in the FA Youth Cup this evening – facing Abbey Hey in the Preliminary Round.
The game is to be played at Runcorn Linnets’ Millbank Stadium tonight in a 7.30pm kick off.
Given the classification of the Club at our level as Elite under National guidance at present, the Deva Stadium is unable to host the tie due to imposed restrictions. With our Youth Team being drawn into the early stages of the competition, the game has been forced to be played elsewhere.
Everyone at Chester FC is grateful to Runcorn Linnets Football Club for the agreed rental of their home in order to stage the tie.
Admission tonight is £3 for Adults and £1 for Concessions, and we hope that as many Chester supporters will attend the match to support the club in meeting the costs associated with moving the game.
Calum McIntyre’s side reached the First Round last season, with Qualifying wins at Clitheroe, Chorley and Athersley Rec before an unfortunate defeat at Morpeth Town.
They had a bye in the Preliminary Round last term, but tonight’s game means it is four wins for the Young Blues to reach the First Round Proper.
